schooltime.ai (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates an AI-powered learning platform designed for students in grades K–5. Our platform is intended for use by children under the supervision of their parents or guardians, and by teachers and school administrators.

2. COPPA Compliance — Children's Privacy

• We do not collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent.
• Student accounts are created and managed by school administrators or parents — children cannot self-register.
• We do not display behavioural advertising to children.
• We do not sell or share children's personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
• Parents may review, correct, or request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us at privacy@schooltime.ai.

3. Information We Collect

Account information

For teachers and administrators: name, email address, school affiliation, and a hashed password. For student accounts: first name, grade level, and a school-assigned identifier. We do not collect home addresses, phone numbers, or government identifiers.

Usage and learning data

We record lesson progress, quiz responses, and time-on-task to power personalised recommendations and to provide progress reports to teachers and parents. This data is stored securely and used solely to improve educational outcomes.

Automatically collected data

Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes and are not linked to individual student profiles.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Providing, personalising, and improving the educational platform.
• Generating progress reports for teachers, parents, and school administrators.
• Communicating service updates, security notices, and support responses.
• Complying with legal obligations.

We do not use student data for advertising, marketing, or resale.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share data only with:

• Service providers who process data on our behalf under strict data-processing agreements (e.g., cloud hosting).
• Schools and authorised educators in respect of the students enrolled through their account.
• Law enforcement when required by law or to protect safety.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Student data is retained for the duration of the school's active subscription and deleted within 90 days of account closure. Parents and guardians may request immediate deletion of their child's data by emailing privacy@schooltime.ai.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest), access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; if you discover a vulnerability please contact security@schooltime.ai.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise any right, contact privacy@schooltime.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will post any material changes to this policy on this page and, where appropriate, notify users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
